Dear Visitor and Yogananda devotee,
Some 10 years ago I was introduced to Yogananda's teachings.
I was so impressed that his teachings touched my heart that
I decided to post a few of his quotes here on my website.
I did this so that people all over the world can read his
writings and learn about his spirituality and the truth that
he taught us. Not once did I entertain the thought of
monetary rewards. As a convenience for others to buy his
teachings, I added links to Yogananda's products from
Amazon. I hesitated doing this as it may have seem as
materialism in a spiritual site. Materialism and
Spirituality, in my humble opinion, should not go hand in
hand. That is why you will not find ads in this entire
spirituality section of meilach.com.
It is with deep regret and sadness that
I have to remove his few quotes that I had here. I have been
contacted by SRF today and told that these quotes are not
appropriate to have here without asking first for their
permission. (I was also told to remove his picture)
While I can see their point of view, what I find
truly sad is that, in my opinion, Yogananda's truth is being
restricted when in should be out there for all to share. I
ask myself, "What would Yogananda do?" Would he allow others
to share his truth and spirituality, by putting a few brief
quotes on the Internet, or not?
I was told that I can write to them
(SRF) and ask specifically which quotes I want to put up,
but only a few quotes. I may or may not bother to do this. I
probably won't...
Once again, I'm sorry what has
transpired but if there's one thing I would like to say to
you is "Keep Yogananda's teachings close to your heart
and mind. They are beautiful teachings that should be
shared, in the best way we can without offending others..."
Sincerely,
Sam Meilach
